Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman from the United States. Buss is the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently serves as its president. A California native, Buss has been raised by an upper class family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon before becoming the manager of Lakers and other enterprises. In 1972, her parents separated together and she felt left out. When she was 19, she was employed in the family business. Then, she established the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She was director of the Great Western Forum before assuming the position of vice president of the Lakers. Buss and her five sisters took over his Lakers control following the passing of Busshis father in the year 2013. Each of the sisters had equal rights. Buss assumed the role of president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss has also been a part-owner of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling organization).
