Lauren Alaina became an instant fan favorite of the American Idol competitors of Season Ten. She is known for her uniqueness and devotion to God. Growing up in Rossville Georgia Lauren tapped into her talent of singing after her cousin was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The diagnosis convinced Lauren to pursue her singing dreams. Scotty Mccreery was her favorite partner while she competed on American Idol. Their Christian origins in country music and their mutual respect were similar.
